Do most people prefer a range finder over binoculars?  Or maybe just binoculars and range finder?  I concerned about toting all the additional equipment back into the woods, when really all I need is one arrow and the bow.  But the other equipment is useful from time to time, or something to do while you pass the time.

Any suggestions on either two items...binoculars or range finders?

I have the same thoughts about which is better.  I really don't need a range finder in the woods because I know my distances by other natural markers around my stand.  But if the range finder works like binoculars, then why would I need binoculars too?

I have a really nice binoculars that I use for 3-D shoots, but also take to the woods with me.

When I shot a compound, I wanted a rangefinder.  It just made all those fancy colored pins make more sense.  Now that I just use a longbow, the idea of a rangefinder seems so remote.  Now good binoculars, those sound useful.
