Why do you prefer one over the other? What types of traditional bows do you prefer?

I presently own, and do not forsee changing anytime soon, a 3 Rivers Dalaa T/D recurve built by DAS Kinetics. I've bought, sold and/or traded in the vicinity of 55 bows over the past 7.5 years. The Dalaa is by far the most accurate shooting , quietest, and most dead in the hand bow I've ever had the privilege of shooting. The only bow that came remotely close to its shooting qualities was a Border Black Douglass Swift T/D recurve.

I'd like to feel comfortable enough that I could make my own bows, but life is too short. At least now it is, maybe someday it will be longer, and I'll try to build a few bows.
I have a 55# Savanah (Martin), a 50# Bear Montana longbow, and a 75# Yew longbow from CN Archery in Great Falls, MT, which I need to grow into a bit. I'd like to try my hand at stalking Elk next year, so I want to become skilled with a heavier wt bow that can handle a heavier arrow and broadhead, so I've just ordered a 65# Martin Viper - I've always thought bamboo and resin would be awesome in a bow and now I'll find out I guess.
While I feel a resonance with a traditional longbow, I don't see any issue with using the best blend of natural and synthetic materials to build the best archery system.
